Would You Continue To Read Tarot Even If It Aged You?

Would you continue to read tarot even if it physically aged you?

if anything, the stress that a s**t answer causes is the culprit for the aging!! and knowing is not always good, so I think we pay the price (a fair trade off)

Only the card holders understand the compulsive need we have for answers, lol.

Get your mum a deck and help her have a go! Mwah xxx

Omgosh! I so agree with you...

As for getting her a deck, I remember her having a bag of runes once and she did get me my first crystal ball. The irony here is she's clairvoyant, she doesn't use tools.

I find that interesting. I had a friend, a gal I grew up with, who by age 30 was doing everything in her power to seem 20ish. It didn't get any better over time and by the time she was in her 40s she was fighting aging tooth and nail.

I asked her if it wouldn't be in her best interest to just age gracefully. I was told in no uncertain terms that she was going to fight it all the way.

Now, after several back surgeries, she's permanently disabled. I no longer count her among my friends, but I've often wondered if she would choose the "age gracefully" concept knowing what was going to happen if she fought it.
I just saw this post RW!!! How did she become disabled?

Thanks! I'll probably keep coloring my hair, unless I get some really awesome grey streaks to go with my old-age and tarot reading. :D

My hair has got more of a natural beach wave and it's actually super long -- about to the base of my back. Normally I blow it out straight, but sometimes I do the curls, especially since I have such contrasting colors going on right now (black and bright blonde -- I know the lighting is bad in this pic, makes me look orange...lol).

LOL! I'll tell you....

So I'm home at my mom and dad's house on vacation trying to enjoy my down time when my mother tries to feed me some BS that divining ages us. :joke: I know she just wants me to put the cards down for awhile but I couldn't help it as my dad kept asking me questions! Well, it pissed me off kinda but the truth is, I can't help but wonder if we are receiving knowledge from the cards that it would normally take others normal amounts of time to receive. Are we speeding up the aging process by reading tarot or doing any other divination?

You could also argue that as we move faster towards the knowledge by reading from the cards we are actually slowing down the ageing process... the faster you move the slower you age.. facts of physics :)

In answer to the topic question, no, I would not continue to read and oddly enough, stopped 2 weeks ago because of the stress it was causing me.

No.. you got me wrong? I meant if we move faster through space relative to a fixed point.. so if the fixed observers are everyone else and tarot readers are moving faster to the end result.. it was just a twist and play on with the theories.. it won't actually work in the case of tarot readers :D I was merely referring to the Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity... And the case of travelling twin ;)

Interesting!
How did you come to decide that ?
I came to the same decision 2 years ago and recently picked it back up again.

I kept getting the 3 of swords and was dreading that something horrible was about to happen, which it didn't. It was just my inner turmoil.

I'm going through a difficult time right now, and I'm wondering how the first time I went through a similar difficulty, I got through it on my own. What in the world did I do with all my free time?

Tarot has become a creative outlet for and it really reassures me about the future. When I stopped for 2 years, I wanted to be immersed in purely science-y things, and tarot did not fit. I let go of my spiritual self at the time. I also wanted the beauty of letting life and surprise unfold on its own.

But back to the topic at hand, we are lucky that TAROT itself does not age us, stress does... I guess if tarot is causing you stress, then it's possible...
