World Spirit Tarot Reprint

Wendywu

I still have my original copy - a little battered and worn but irreplaceable. I love so many cards in it, and studying them taught me a lot about the meanings of the cards in general.

Haven't got any tarot money left for a couple of months but when I have this will be a project I will be seriously tempted.

I have this deck and I like it a lot. But this Indiegogo project is something I do not understand at all.

Why in the world would a tarot deck that was published by a major publisher need a crowd-funding project to get reprinted? I've never heard of something like this happening before. This deck was put out originally by Llewellyn. Why don't they republish it?

This has always been one of my favourite decks and has been in my list of 'reading decks' for well over 10 years.. It has a lovely mix of fat, thin, old and young people in all shades of colours including blue and The Lovers card could be 2 men, 2 women or a man and a woman.. It's an inclusive deck that follows the RWS with a bit of Thoth but adds it's own spin on each card and the detailed Lino block printing technique makes it one of those decks where I notice something different or new with each reading... I was really surprised when it went out of print and I'm very glad that the creators are trying to get it reprinted again.

I haven't got a bad thing to say about this deck and I feel like getting my old, battered copy out and doing a reading with it right now :).

If you haven't got it and you have a bit of spare cash, I'd say go for this, you won't regret it.. This is a wonderful reading deck.

The Spanish version was still available, last I checked. I like it because I don't have to try and remember about the court cards substitutes, which are seeker, seer, sage and something else. With Spanish titles, I just look at the pictures.

Bet the copyright reverted to the author/artist when the publisher declined to reprint.

I take back what I said, the renaming of the court cards is the one negative thing I have to say about this deck.. It's easy to get past but I dislike it when court cards in particular are renamed..

What a beautiful exuberant deck... I haven't come across it before, as it obviously happened during my Tarot hiatus..... I see it closes in March, so I may be able to bung in my bit towards the project around then. :)

I love this deck and I still have 3 factory sealed copies of the original edition. I am also selling them for not so much so I am not interested in this campaign but I wish her good luck. It is a shame that Llewellyn does not reprint it.

World Spirit Remake on Indiegogo

Well, well, well an Indiegogo campaign has been created for the world spirit and...

...wait for it...

...wait for it...

the creator is going to remake the cards we hate. Maybe the 10 of Pentacles will have pants! Nixon won't be the Sun card.

It's one of my favorite decks to use for public readings and I'd love to see it return.
