A haunted doll that deals your tarot cards for you?

Aunty Anthea

That's right! No more fussing with shuffling and dealing your own cards. This doll is not only skilled at manipulating tarot cards, but she also assists in pendulum sessions. She heals people (if you ask nicely,) and she's obviously haunted by a 200 year old spirit -- you can tell by the blue light shining over her head! All this for the bargain price of $39 plus $11 shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Haunted-Dol...arot-Spells-/151821862684?hash=item235949c71c
I followed the link and discovered someone has already placed a bid LOL

Anyone wishing to purchase this remarkable doll still has another 7 days 6 hours 50 mins in which to place a bid

I hope that someone on here buys it and see how it works, or not, and posts info, perhaps take photos and dissects the doll, both for fun and as a warning to members of the extremely gullible general public

It's cheap because it's one of those nasty reproduction dolls that are mass-produced as "collectibles" for gullible people.
Maybe it was fished out of the local thrift store toy bin for $1.99. I see cast away decorative dolls there all the time.
I love antique porcelain dolls (proper spooky dolls circa 1900) and have a few in various states of decay - some with eyes, some without - but I wouldn't go near these repros.
I have a couple ~1960 plastic dolls because of a bit of a Twilight Zone connection. I paid more than $39 too, and they can't even cut a tarot deck. I got ripped off!

Are you serious? No *bleeping* way!

:bugeyed: I hope not! The thing that gets me is I doubt I'd be able to sell magic kleenex boxes that I claim instantly cure colds, but you can sell a doll that "heals others?"

Wait a minute. Isn't that what most common cold medicine are advertised as, but they never really work? Judging by the number of people buying those, a magical treatment might do even better.

Come to think of it, the seller of that doll is claiming to sell a trapped human soul and someone bid on that. Anything's possible!

*quietly* I didn't actually think of that...

To be honest, I find the concept of selling human souls, even as an obvious scam, pretty damn creepy so I'm consciously trying to focus on the "sucker born every minute" aspect.

I'm not sure what the rules are anymore, but it used to be anything goes on eBay. I must ashamedly admit . . . my welsh corgi sheds non-stop, year-round and I used to sell little baggies of the fur clumps from whenever I brushed him. I listed them as fur with magical properties and made a tidy sum. I'm not sure eBay would let me do that nowadays, but he and I got a good laugh out of it.

Perhaps I could try that with our Labrador he sheds non-stop :)

Hair from a witches familiar brings love and peace

Why did you guys had to post this? The thought of that ugly doll with her big black wig and Tammy Faye eyelashes, shuffling around (notice how they show her peeking from dark doorways, or are they mirrors?) and clumsily handling Tarot cards with her stiff little plastic hands is keeping me awake at night.... :bugeyed:
