Cards that represent the term "mistake"

Puffette

Hello everyone.
I was thinking today what would be the cards(combination) or "the card" that could point in a reading that the querent has done a mistake or is mistakenly convinced about something.
I wanna hear your oppinions and your experience with those cards you believe can apply to this topic.
My first thought goes to 7 of cups as it represents illusions, dreaming and chaos but i feel this is not the one for what i asked, therefore im curious what do you people have to say regarding this.

winter garden

Seven of Swords can be about self deception, so perhaps that would fit. The Moon has the potential to be about illusions, so that within the right combination of cards. Ten of Swords I sometimes get for paranoia, so that could be about believing something that isn't true in the sense of always thinking the worst. Five of Cups for regret, and realising you made a mistake. I think there are quite a few cards that could potentially denote a mistake actually, but I'm interested to see what others think.

4 of cups Girls?
As it suggests not lifting your game (outlook) enough ! :)

Agreed, that could be the actual act itself. Making the mistake, but not being aware of doing it.

Interesting point.I agree with all the examples u have given. I always saw the 7 of swords as being a sort of deception and lying but my point is....
...I wanna know lets say when i read for someone .. How can i know precisely that it is about a mistake in the story? All the cards have infinite possibilities including those u mentioned. When i read into someone's feelings how can i realise if that person felt was a mistake to leave the querent or was mistakenly convinced about a cheating?
I feel there is a combination that might speak about this but i cannot figure out which one.

I think the 4 of cups is more in the league of "upsets,boredom..all those crappy feelings of unsatisaction, refusal, stubborness that makes u wanna give everything away and see no one.

I would think some of the court cards reversed - for example, the Knight of Wands or Swords, as they are impatient and behave recklessly, hence make mistakes that they come to regret.

Also the Fool reversed, where you make a mistake by jumping off that cliff and the 2 of Swords reversed, making a bad decision because you didn't look into things properly first, which turns out to be a big mistake.

Could it be the 9 of swords who is "the one" for the term mistake? Do you people agree that this might be the card suggesting that a person has done something terribly wrong and now regrets it? It has hit me a few seconds ago while i was thinking which one is the most accurate representation of this subject.

Wow! Yes its true. The reversed cards!!
The problem is that i never use them in reversed therefore im focused more on the upright meanings.
I think that all the knights and the action cards in reversed might suggest hasty actions due to impulse-in conclusion "mistakes based on first impression".. The page of swords in rx i suppose could be "the woman that mistakenly acuses her man of cheating and dumps him,to regret minutes after what she did" sort of.
I think u hit the nail with the cards in reversed and its justified. Thanks for mentioning this.
And good example of the fool since this card shows carelesness and foolishness.. The mistakes are in this case again justified especially when in reversed the act is done and there's no more turning back.

Simple

8 of swords, 9 of swords, feeling trapped, thinking about mistake
5 of cups: regret of mistake
