The Hermetic Tarot ~ Disscussion or Study Group Interest ?

INIVEA

Hello, I've had this deck berried deep in the bottom amongst my tarot deck collection. I thought it was time to bring it out into the light of day. I am currently interested in learning more about this deck, the angel correspondent is what I want to learn most about. Would anyone be in for discussion of The Hermetic Tarot or of a Study Group Interest ?

Abrac

I'd be up for studying this deck. What about the Angel correspondences would you like more info on?

The angelic correspondences are based on the 72-fold name of God in the Jewish tradition, which is in turn derived from the Hebrew text of Exodus 14:19-21. There's a very good explanation of it here, in case you'd find that helpful.

I have this deck, and like it. I use it in conjunction with Thoth deck sometimes, and it works well.

Although it lacks rich colouring of Thoth deck, its images are very powerful, and excellent for meditating with the astrological and alchemical symbols.

MasamiK

I would love to be part of it, because my deck is in the same situation of yours: it's been burried under all my other decks and, although I love it, I haven't felt like using it until this week. The same with the Thoth. Now, I feel it's time to learn more about both and maybe start using them, but it would be nice to be exchanging information with someone else who is at the same stage as I.

Nosgo

Don't know if people are still interested into this study group but I've just bought myself this deck and would love to learn and share with other people, no matter if they are beginner or advanced learner.

Hi, Nosgo, welcome to Aeclectic!

Although a formal study group never materialized, you can always drum up interest with questions and discussions.
