Oracles for predictive readings?

redbean

Hi, I'm looking for any oracles that are mainly used for predictive readings. Not the spiritual type that only offer you comforts. I'd prefer a deck that could give straight-forward directions and hints that will gonna happen in near future as well as advises of what to do to resolve the present situation/problems etc.

Any inputs will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Well, there is the good old cartomancy, picking any playing card deck and read with it.

There is as well the Petit Lenormand, sibillas (french or italian), the german kipper, the french Oracle du Belline, the Little Czech Oracle, etc. Some use too runes and I Ching.

Thanks a lot for your recommendations. Will look into those ones you just mentioned! :)

My recommendation is to start with Lenormand decks. It has a well-defined system much like tarot, and there are a lot of different decks available. I suggest a more traditional deck to learn with though, and I recommend the Piatnik deck as it is cheap and has really nice color.
It looks like this:

www.amazon.com/Mlle-Lenormand-Cartomancy-Deck-Cards/dp/B00008D9U3
cheapest place (and where I got mine):

I also recommend the Playing Card Oracles. There is a really good book available explaining its system, and it can be used with any deck of playing cards that you like, although I find it helpful to learn on an actual PCO deck. The deck was out of print for a while but has just had a second printing and is available on the US Games website. The book is available there too, or on Amazon. Or you can buy the ebook directly from Ana Cortez's website.

I have the Lenormand deck you recommended! But since I never got to understand how the spreads work illustrated by the booklet, I gave up. Maybe I need to do a search to completely understand the system! Thanks for that! And I'm very appreciate for the link for the online bookshop, a new place for me to shop for decks! :D

For the playing card oracles, I'll look into that and decide if it's what I need. Thank you again! I'm very happy that you actually directed me to some specific decks to look at. :)

Yes, I think the Lenormand, Playing Card Oracle by Ana Cortez or just a regular deck of playing cards are good oracles for predictive readings. I have all of these oracles and use them for such readings. (really just learning the Lenormand right now). There is one more I'd like to recommend as well. The Tea Leaf Fortune Reading Cards by Rae Hepburn.

The Tea Leaf Oracle deck has 200 cards in it, so it is quite a handful of cards. However, it is very easy to read with and has always been right on for me in predicting what is to come for myself and for my clients. It is a fantastic deck and right now you can find it in Barnes and Noble for a very reasonable cost.

But, if you don't want to invest much money at all in a deck right now, (like less then $5.00)- grab your deck of playing cards and go with that! Lots of different ways to read the playing cards as an oracle are available in books or online. find one that resonates with you and give it go!
