I agree. Some of the photography is amature-ish, some of the models look bored lost or badly posed, but overall, the visuals do a good job. I see the stiffness of some of the poses (the Kings, for instance) as coming form the tradition of painted Kings stiffly sitting on painted thrones.
I very much like that they are actual meaningful places in the UK, and the uses of symbolic plants, trees, etc. I especially like the totem animals being on the cards.
this was the first Photo-montauge or blend or whatever you call it (Photo Shop?) deck I ever ran into tht I really liked. they're making actual pictures here, rather than surreal montauges, and that helps me out a lot!
