Wow! What a different contrast from the 7 of pentacles, where the lands were bleak and desolate, now we have a rose centered within a bush, surrounded by 8 pentacles.
The Sun in Virgo is the astrological sign for this card. This is makes me think, is this woman looking lovingly at the rose or deeply and mentally absorbed by its detail and beauty?

From an inward turn of enduring, rethinking, rehashing and fine tuning our thoughts, is this a turning point where we’ve discovered (have a feel for) our soul’s passion, our soul’s longing to manifest something into the world? Is our awareness and our perceptions so acute now, that we are able to listen to our ideas and insights to whatever goals and plans we have in sight? This does seem to be a time where we burst with brilliant creativity and inspirations….we are so grounded, we notice everything! .
This card has a ring of A.D.D. in it…nothing else matters, except that rose!
My son had A.D.D., and when totally absorbed in something he truly loved, could sit for hours and hours focusing on it. The house could be burning or shaking apart….and there he’d be, researching, analyzing and reanalyzing his quest to know everything about that rose…..to make sure he had it just right!
But sometimes he couldn’t see the forest for the trees, his mind went on overload, he was so immersed in the present, he couldn’t see the future…this is when he’d get really irritable and overwhelmed…..from adding, subtracting, pasting and deleting....as far as he was concerned, getting no where with it. This is when we pulled him back from his point of view and showed him the bigger picture. Ahh! He’d say, now I see it! And back he’d go, into it again!
