Selenite sphere

Ambrosia

I have two pieces of selenite in the bathroom, a square-cut white one in which the grain is lovely and which originally reminded me of a piece of exquisite hand-made crafted soap, and an oval peach selenite shaped so much like a cake of soap and such a pretty colour that I *had* to put it right near the sink.

I've had the white one for about seven years and the peach one for about two years, and the bathroom steams up on a very regular basis. In addition, the occasional visitor gets caught out and tries to wash their hands with them <cackle>. The stones are as beautiful as the day I bought them.

ETA: a stone wholesaler told me they'd dissolve. I think she was confusing them with Himalayan rock salt, which *will* dissolve.

She is right, they will most definitely dissolve. But over time. And not via a steamy bathroom. You can run it under water and dry it off and it's fine, but it shouldnt be left to soak in water...it will crumble to dust...trust me, I speak from experience.
