Some Questions

MysticRose

Hi... these questions may already be covered. I've been reading through the threads but the answers don't seem to cover my issues. My first question is... is there a place I can download a digital template of a regular/standard size tarot card... or a mini for that matter that is for use commercially... in case i decide to publish later on. I just spent 2 hours looking online and found a few but they are all for "personal use only."

Also can anyone please recommend some decent image software that includes ability to add text that is more in the $20- $30 range instead of hundreds of dollars. I just don't have hundreds.

Next... is there a tarot creation program out there that can be used to create a deck for commercial purposes?

Thanks all! :)

I've been toying with the idea of creating my own deck. Your questions reflect some of the things I have been thinking about. I would love to see the answers from the more knowledgable members.

Maybe I can of assistance regarding the program:

If you use either Apple, Linux or Windows, there is "The Gimp". Free and certainly more functions than you could expect from anything commercially available for 20 to 30 USD - and you can certainly add text, of course. I use it myself on Ubuntu Linux.

However, due to its many functions and its multi-platform programming, there is a lot to learn - but that is true for every graphics program if you are a beginner.

Overview:

More info and download:

From the site:

"GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring."

I hope this helps!
