Egipcios Kier Tarot History

There are!

I knew nothing about the historical origins of my Egipcios Kier Tarot deck until I started looking around at my "odd" decks for this exchange. I would have guessed that it was an old design, but no. It was first published in 1971 by Editorial Kier S.A., of Buenos Aires. However, it appears that the Kier images are based on drawings by M.O. Wegener published in 1896, which were derived from descriptions published by Paul Christian in 1863.

Nevertheless, the main reason I wanted to choose the Egipicios Kier was not for its history, but for its capacity to be very, very accurate -- at least in my personal readings. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to try it on someone else.

Thank you!

Also, many thanks to my sources:

This is a stunning deck I've been hunting for a while, so I'll be hoping for some pictures.

The partners for this month are:

AnemoneRosie & nisaba
FLizarraga & Michellehihi
fractalgranny & Metafizzypop
Madame Squee & rachelcat

Whoever sees the list first, please, start the exchange thread in the Reading Circles area and then let your partner know in order to avoid double threads. Then please leave the link to your thread in this thread, and I'll add it to the first post for easy reference.

Have great exchanges!
