swords or wands? in pip decks

Is there a consistent way to know if the curves are always one and straight the other?
Can I ask that in a non-clear manner?

Wands are straight and swords curved.... as far as I know. Think of Wands as sticks and swords as scimitars

This, and it's pretty consistent in TdM and TdM-tradition decks.
