>> I << don't use EDs in the traditional way, so there's no rule that says you have to either.I kind of thought anxious was a bit much too but wasn't sure how to or if I should add the element and what that would look like.
Yes, you could have. I don't use neutral automatically equals friendly because that gives each element 2 friendly interactions and 1 unfriendly interaction. That seems really unbalanced to me. Having 1 friendly, 1 neutral and 1 unfriendly seems more balanced to me. And like with wars, the participation (or not) of the neutral party can tip the balance one way or the other. So, following my reading I could have added an element to the 4oS since it was neutral which means friendly but maybe not as strong, right?
In all the years I've used EDs, it's never occurred to me to add in the elemental aspect of the card to the interpretation. You might have hit on something brilliant. Don't be so quick to discard it.I'm not sure if I will continue to add the element into the reading. It was just a thought while typing it up so I went with it. It sounds like traditional ED do not do this so, maybe I wont either. Ok, Im off to try the other areas for these cards and then mix them up too.
