Step ONE: Gilded Tarot, Page of Pentacles
The first noticeable trait of this card is that it's emanating the color green - a rich, emerald green. There is a gold border framing the card with one large, inset green gem at the top, two smaller ones on each side, and Page of Pentacles engraved on a gold plaque on the bottom.
The Page appears sexless; that is, it could be male or female as it has long, deep brown hair and the features of the face retain the flawless perfection that belongs to the young. I will, however, refer to the Page in the masculine.
He is clothed in rich green textures: striped hose, soft, brown leather slippers, puffed gold sleeves viewable on his right arm while across the other and around the neck and left shoulder is draped a shawl embroidered with gold flowers and a simple tassel at the wrist. Atop his head is a matching beret with some sort of insignia inside a flower and two large, golden yellow plumes. He is holding a five-sided golden shield. At each point on the shield, just inside the border, are five green gems (also five-sided). Within that is another five-sided border reflecting an intricately carved sun on a green background. The shield reflects light along the bottom of its left side, as if the shield were tilted back at the top.
The Page stands out on a balcony. The floor is tiled stone in shades of green, brown, and beige. The railing appears to be made of dark brown granite and its carved pillars remind me of large water urns. Beyond the railing is a thick, vibrant shrub that winds its way up along the right side and top of this card. There are four fully-opened blooms of a deep pink or salmon color.
Perched atop the railing to the left of the Page is a very regal male peacock. His tail feathers drape down to the Page's feet and he is vibrant in color. His back is to the Page but his head is turned completely around and he is intensely observing the Page, who is looking off to his left.
The sky is depicted in shades of deep blue, soft to bright orange, and a bit of gray and black - as if a thunderhead was forming. It could be breaking dawn or just after sunset - my opinion is that its the latter.
This is the Page of Pentacles of the Gilded Tarot.
