I can hear the disgrutled expert astrologers moan with that kind of over simplicity - and I apologise it was a delicate thing I tried to work around, crystal astrology works in the same way as normal astrology - just substitutes a crstal for a degree - but for many people we just need a heads up about the placements - so its a very simple starting point that can grow and grow..

silverwings94 thanks for your post.. I hope that some of these symbols and crystals just start to show up in your daily life - coincidece or a sign sort of thing, I hope the book helps you see more beauty and talent in you than you had previously seen.

I'd never even heard of several of these (dravite, spessartite, wardite), and I was an assistant in the geology department! Seeing aegirine and augite on the list brought back memories of lab and clay-studies... LOL

I looked up pics and notice an emphasis on purples, greeny-brown-neutrals, whatever that means. It's interesting both Mars and Pluto have augite. Both planets (and the moon conjunct pluto) are the focuses of a double yod in my chart...

When you said people usually have one or more on hand already, I pulled out my collections (I mainly collect rocks; haven't collected crystals much since I was younger). I DO have several nodules of azurite and a teeny piece of half-way tumbled banded agate. No doubt I have some augite-laden granites or rhyolites in my shelves. As for the rest, all I have is related stuff- like, the tourmaline is green or black, not brown (dravite), I have red iron garnets (pyrope), not spessartite. I'm doubtful the amethysts are cape-types- I think they came from the Americas. Is there any value to the related crystals, or are sabian symbols very, very picky? LOL

Gooneybird - really, thats pretty amazing hey - a real 'coincidence' there..

just briefly colours - purple is usually spirituality and greeny-brown-neutrals points to loving the environment, healing and stability a practical person.

I dont think the sabians are 'that' specific - I think they are a guide - and its really up to you to follow the lead - if you have pyrope and amethyst its fantastic dont go out to specially get 'unique' and often difficult to find stones - I even have suggested to people who have blue diamond in their chart to just get a blue glass cut crystal - its that you understand your uniqueness thats the most important aspect.
