New Orleans Voodoo Tarot - Congo--Hounsis [Page of Cups]

afrosaxon

A woman is releasing the ti bon ange (spirit) of her lover from its sacred govi into the sea; it is one year and one day past the date of his physical death. Her lover’s face appears in the water. According to the NOVT book, this is an indication that the two lovers are ready to continue their relationship on another level.

The background is a deep yellow  hope, mental

The water in the card rises up to the top of the card and forms a canopy over the woman  protection from the Other Side? The woman is not sad; she seems calm, focused, resigned(?). She releases his soul and it comes back to her on the water.

This is a soothing and rather cheerful card, which is in line with the traditional RWS meaning of a message of love.
