Just wanted to update my thoughts on this deck...
I saw the kit in my local esoteric shop today and decided to take the plunge. The kit is stunning; sumptuous book and the whole caboodle is really well put together.
I just wanted to add that getting the kit really has altered my thoughts on the cards. The deck which comes with the kit is IMO much more appealing than the standard LoS deck only. The deck which comes with the kit is richer and shinier (nicer cardstock), borderless, sturdier, the colouring draws you in more and has more nuances. The images feel bigger (well I suppose they are) which makes a huge difference. As I suspected (as one who has the Illuminati kit and also the deck only), there is a difference between the two versions. To anyone in doubt, I'd definitely say get the kit! Now I can truly appreciate all its glory!
