Marseille 3-card combinations

The story I saw in: La Reyne d'Epée La Force 7 de Baton

The Queen tells me: Ugly and painful past work related experiences have made this person weary and cynical (she'll looking back and her face is not happy). Through mental discipline and determination (crown, sword) they have reached a certain level of authority and competency in their current position (throne), however this was gained through sacrifices and even acts they're not particularly proud of (bloody sword). Something different is definitely needed.

This person needs a new challenge (la force, seven). They need to grab the bull by the horns or the lion by the jaws and embrace this new opportunity that has arrived on the scene, looking forward to the future instead of being stuck in the past (the woman in the force card is facing forward and is standing rather than seated). More new perspectives and opportunities will present themselves in this new setting (the hair net thingy is leaving the ears open to hear of many new things). The beast is beautiful and vital and submits to her, so they need not fear that they won't be up to the task, in fact this new role will be enjoyable and energising for them.

However that is not to say the past should be completely ignored and discarded. True balance, steady growth and progress will be possible only if and when the experiences and lessons learned in the Queen position are taken into account and balanced against the enthusiasm and fresh energy of the new force position (three staffs on the left for the past, balanced against three for the future, anchored by the central straight staff showing growth and upwards progress). This will be challenging (seven), but will also provide a unique opportunity (again the seven) for the person to find their rightful place.

Anyone up for posting 3 more cards? The variety of these interpretations are really enlightening.

Bee,

It would be great to have a feedback from our card readings. How correct are our interpretations? It is a great way to evaluate how well (or how badly) we are interpreting these cards.

Take care.

Moonbow

There is no correct or incorrect with Marseilles decks Lumen. And none of us here are more expert than others. That is the beauty of the Marseilles.

Lumen,

No feedback. These are'nt actual (real) 'readings'. They are purely experimental for marseille card combinations. A Life Area or Subject is given so as give some focus for what the combinations might mean.

Bee and Moonbow,

Thanks for your response.

So, it is about HOW we interpret the cards, how we read them, and not HOW CORRECT these interpretations are.

That's an interesting exercise. Not only it shows different interpretations, but different approaches to Tarot reading.

It is also good to know that there isn't right or wrong in Tarot reading. Could you say that Tarot card readings are contingent on the reader's personality, response, and perspective of life and the cards?

Extract from first post in this thread:

....this thread will be experimenting with 3-card combinations of any Marseille deck. All reading methods/systems are acceptable.

Please state the Deck you are using plus the Method used when you post.
Lumen. Use whatever method you consider suitable for reading a marseille deck :)

Spread regarding a "work issue"

Herzog

The challenge for this person might be how to express or voice opinions without upsetting the rules. Or if the rules must be upset, how to do so in a more controlled and "balanced" way. She may have experienced a taste of authority and liked it very much, but her "voice" has retreated and she works again toward "nourishing" her opinion, preparing herself so that when the opportunity arises she will know what to say and how to say it.

I would ask this person if they have confidence issues at the workplace or if they were intimidated by a co-worker

These cards, for me, suggest someone who has found themselves in a work situation which is not to their liking - possibly confronted by rules and regulations which have hampered them, but also a situation where co-workers have simply accepted the status quo. Having spoken out forcefully (perhaps publicly) there has been an enforced retreat (the sword of the first card in the spread is unable to cut through the situation, however much logic lies behind its thrust). Having withdrawn, the next best option is to tackle the problem bit by bit (the reduced number of swords creating the barrier to progress or where the person wants to be in the second card). For the last card I concur with Herzog - it is a question of balance and timing to nourish the plan into action where it can penetrate the situation to achieve the best result. (The blended waters of the Temperance angel can be used to feed the burgeoning vine and its flower in the central card). This also fits well with the idea of Temperance as 'the angel of Time' (which I once read somewhere and now no longer recall where).
