I just bought these

My friend, ebay...I avoid it usually, but when I want something, I can always find it there.

This is copal. which is pre-amber, fossilized, but not quite mature, if I understand correctly. Aren't they lovely?

I LOVE copal!

The Mayans in Guatemala use it in their ceremonies, so when you go to places like Antigua, you smell it everywhere. It's like the whole town is wearing perfume!

I bought nuggets of copal some years back, and it smells just as heavenly now as it did back then! The aroma, smoldering on a charcoal type briquette, is ..... fantastic!

Never occured to me to look on eBay for some more!
