Longitude and distance
Near 40 degrees latitude (Greece and Italy), 15 degrees of longitude, which is one time zone, equals roughly 1200 miles. Once you get up to 50 degrees latitude, near the UK and through France, one time zone span of 15 degrees of longitude equals some 1500 miles. So you could say, roughly, that each degree equals 100 miles or so. Having your MC within one degree of its proper position would not make your chart any less useful for most situations. So, we could say that 100 miles distance from your birth place would not require you to change your chart.
Of course, in this day of computers, it only takes a minute or less to edit chart data and have the chart you want.
