Faery Oracle Decks?

TemperanceAngel

I have the Brian Froud deck and the Doreen Virtue (not my fave, just got it two days ago on a whim...)

Does anyone know of any other wonderful Faery decks of the Oracle variety?

Thanks :)

I didn't connect with Doreen Virtue's Healing with the Fairies deck at all so I can understand why it is not your favourite. I really like her Healing with the Angel's deck (I know you have that one also since I've seen this (no not in the cards) in your posts.

A pretty little deck is Sulamith Wulfing's Fairy Oracle.

p.s. I just won the Irish Fairy cards on e-bay for $1.99 (+shipping of course) but haven't seen them yet

TemperanceAngel

Oh Ruby7, I have never heard of this deck or artist before and don't why??? Thank you so much, they are gorgeous and exactly what I am looking for.

I wish I didn't buy the Doreen Virtue one now....oooo, actually I will put it in my trading thread!

I also love the Healing With the Angels Deck and the Archangels :)

Ruby7

Yes they are truly beautiful. Sulamith Wulfing also has an angel oracle deck (which I don't have yet). I think it was Lark who mentioned that she has both decks and combines them together to do readings.

Ruby7

I have the Archangels also and would like them except that I got a smelly deck (chemicals). I have tried various airing out techniques to no avail. Hopefully over time this will disappear. i e-mailed the company but never heard from them. My Healing with the Angels doesn't smell :)

TemperanceAngel

Yeah, what is the smell with those decks???

I went ahead and bought the Faery and Angel Oracle decks and Nature Spirits book, awesome...

They are exactly what the doctor ordered for me, or should I say spirit!

Do take a look at the Poppy Palins Waking the Wild Spirit deck...it dosen't get nearly enough notice. But Chuck the book first chance you get, its horribly wordy and full of itself. :)

The Fairy Ring!!

This is another one by the same folks as did The Sacred Circle Tarot (Paul Mason & Anna Franklin). The illustrations are unbelievable - as beautiful as The Sacred Circle. It is very thorough with fairy lore; it also has Fairy Festival cards, which are the 8 solar & lunar holidays of the year. It is tricky to work with, but very rewarding! :)

(BTW: My avatar is the "portrait" of my fairy guide for the Froud deck!)

here is a link to the
fairy ring, that danubhe brought up. it is a love it or hate it kind of deck as the fairies are taken from actual folklore; some are sweet and others are far from it. so far, i'm loving it :D

i recently purchased, the (fairy) 'oracle cards' by selina fenech. it's a pretty little deck, but i am pretty sure they are out of print.

Faerie Wisdom Cards http://www.isisbooks.com/Details.asp?item=1402708734

The Witch's Garden Fairy Wicca Oracle http://ca.geocities.com/butterflymoonca/tarotset.html I really like the look of these

The Fairy Pack http://www.cygnus-books.co.uk/mind_body_spirit_books/fairy_pack.htm

Gentle Wisdom of the Fairie Realms http://www.pyramidcollection.com/aspfiles/itemdy00.asp?category=&UID=2003110317170588&T1=P61574

If you do a search in the Oracle Decks Forum you'll find a few discussions about these decks

Love

The Doreen Virtue Fairies aren't so bad if you cut off the outer borders. It helps you really see into the cards. I may even take off the narrow inner border. I had some extras of my favorite cards--one of the art shops nearby buys decks and sells the individual cards for a quarter, to be used in collages, so I experimented on them.
