working the darkside of the tree

Pinocchio

not meant 100% serious: The "shells" can be seen as form that should not contain life but actually does. Examples are given like a skeleton or a puppet.

So: Is Pinocchio a Qliphotic being, according to that view ?
I think so. If one sees it that way: What could one learn from that ?

Pinnochio is a grand analogy. From that point of view, yes. But Pinnochio "won" himself and was made of true flesh at the end, overcoming his 'unnaturalness' after an epic (and rather illustrative) journey. *g*

Another side note- has anyone here read Kenneth Grant's _Nightside In Eden_ which is a book that deals extensively with the topic of the qlippoth? I have not, but will be doing so in the near future.

the other side

In my opinion, the qlippoth correspond to the "other side" of the tree of life: a barren place. If it was necessary to visit this place to reach Kether, it would say so in the kabalistic lore somewhere.

I think we face the dark side of the sephirah in the tree of life, and not in the qlippoth side. I have to say, I always tought of them as "waste" products of the sephirah. However, the question remains.. what are they?
