Small Pixelated tarot decks

I've been making a small tarot deck for a tarot card reading program I'm working on. Now, when I say small, I mean small 64x86 pixels to be exact. I know people love putting a lot of detail on tarot cards, but I'm not sure that works so well when you have a tiny screen anyway. I've been wondering what people feel the smallest they can make the decks is and still have people recognize them. I've been typing on these with 10 point font and its still legible, but not too bad.

Have you seen the 8-bit deck ???

Not that SMALL - 176px × 304px, the site says - but delightfully pixelated:

I just scaled it down to 52 x 90 and it still works tolerably well.

Have you looked into pixel art tutorials? I've seen some pixel art images that are tiny (think around 50x50) and still recognizable. There's a lot you can do with colours and shading even within such a small space.
