Royalties

I have just finished publishing and printing a first run of 500 decks for a project titled "The Tarot of Saqqara." I have sold 400 decks locally and on line and only have 100 decks remaining. At this time I would like to look at the possibility of signing a contract with an international publisher/distributor. Is there a standard royalty % from publishers? And how often are they paid?

Kind of cool to see the #1 "big name" printer (Quality Playing Cards) was the same one I'd discovered during my own research--the biggest issue with them is the 1000 deck minimum.

Well, you might still want to consider the minimum. My first print run of 500 sold out in 5 months, the next batch of 300 took almost two years to sell, and the third batch of 500 is down about a quarter so far. That's for the Ferret Tarot.
