It's 2pm and I am still in bed, reading. Lazy me, lazy fat cat who is curled up at my feet.

I'm reading a book and it says something about Michigan being on a Canadian border. I had no idea so I am looking it up. Who woulda thunk? I was always convinced it was somewhere in the middle of the states. Learn something new every day.

So I discovered. When it comes to the US I can tell you where Alaska, hawaii, California, Florida and Washington are. There ends my geographical knowledge. Every other state is just mooshed in the middle there somewhere.

I hate to tell you this, but it's that way for most Americans too. We know the states on the coastlines, but all those in the middle are pretty much lumped together.

PS- I can name all 50 states and all the presidents, which is more than I can say for some Americans.
