your magical deck?

I find Seven Stars Deck of the Bastard to be a pretty sharp tool :)

Also find the Cosmic Tarot to be pretty accurate, and very chatty/user-friendly - it is a Thoth based deck, but you don't necessarily need the book to learn the system - the author has tried to make it accessible to all. I like the 1980's images - as well as the 30's upwards - it seems to portray screen stars from every era. It's a very interesting deck!

I love the Baba Studios Tarot of Prague for the lash of honesty it delivers. It never minces words. If you have a spare $100 lying around and some one here has one on offer, go for it. Well worth the splurge. It was created for magic and spell-work, I have read - so if you are looking for a spell-casting tool, this would be a go-to deck.

Tarot of Pagan Cats seems to work well - I just got mine a few weeks ago, and while it is gentler in the handling of truth, it does include a lot of magical symbols etc. and there is some obvious suggestions in it that point to spell-work - I believe. It is also very, very easy on the eyes. :)

Good luck!

Everyone has their own pet "magical" deck, so a thread such as this may not help you very much. If you want scenic minors, I agree with greatdane's suggestion of the PCS Commemorative. Of course, the Crowley Thoth is as magical as it gets, but it certainly is not to everyone's liking. For me, at this point in time, it is the delightful ISIS Tarot de Marseille. It gets the answers right, even if I phrase the questions wrongly. How's that for magical?

The Midnight masquerade is my magic deck. I dream that place all the time.

The Phantomwise is another one that is magic.

I love the TDM. The pack that drew me in instantly is the Tarot de Mareslla Robledo, seen here;

I don't think it's available now.
I have a few facsimile packs & new interpretations of the TDM but this is the most "magical".

I must also mention the modern CBD,

& the Camoin-Jodorowsky,

& the Pierre Madenie,

I like many of the modern occult packs but the historical significance of the TDM's adds to the magic for me.

Yes, it will help, as I will be able to know about decks I never heard (I'm newbie) and maybe find a one what calls me.

The tarot of prague is awesome, but the price as well, so I will have to look to other decks.

Definitely, after looking to the cards of Thoth, it will be the deck. The pictures are calling me.
I just need to find a good companion book and ask for it to the "Reyes Magos"

Oh please don't remind me. The Prague is one of those decks that I try not to think about (on account of the $$). As far as I'm concerned, Prague is the most magical city in the universe. I must have lived there in a previous incarnation.

Alternative to Tarot of Prague

The Tarot of Paris is sort of similar to the Tarot of Prague and nothing like as pricey, so you might want to check it out. It is still available through 3rd party sellers on Amazon, etc. They seem to come up on Ebay too. The set with hardback book and cloth is worth seeking out.
