Steampunk Tarot (Charissa Drengsen) - Suit Symbolism - Parasols (Wands)

She uses parasols to represent what is traditionally called wands/rods. What do you think?

I love the whimsy of it. I haven't seen most of the cards yet, so am reserving judgement on what they say to me.

I think parasols are an ingenious representation for the suit of Wands, because they are a product of creativity and inventiveness -- traits which are connected to Wands, and their purpose is to shield us from the sun, and that brings in the element of fire, another Wands trait. Wands are also associated with summer -- the time of year when parasols are most prevalent. I'm really enjoying the whimsy of this suit symbol, too. It's actually brilliant!
