The Behavioural Analysis Spread

AlysiumDream

I wanted to do a spread in order to interpret behaviour in an attempt to understand why someone was acting a certain way (this could probably work as an addiction spread or a self harm spread or OCD or anxiety even) so I came up with this - its sort of psychological I guess.

The Behavioural Analysis Spread

1. The core reason behind the behaviour(s)
2. The past influences that have lead to this behaviour
3. How these influences have lead to this behaviour
4. How did the core issue manifest itself on an emotional level in the past?
5. How did the core issue manifest itself on a physical level in the past?
6. How did the core issue manifest itself on a psychological level in the past?
7. The present influences which reinforce this behaviour
8. How these influence reinforce this behaviour
9. How does the core issue manifest itself on an emotional level now?
10. How does the core issue manifest itself on a physical level now?
11. How does the core issue manifest itself on a psychological level now?
12. How to undermine the past harmful influences
13. How to undermine the present harmful influences
14. How to develop positive influences now
15. How to reinforce these positive influences
16. Advice card
17. Outcome card

With regards to Cards 4, 5, 6 and then 9,10 and 11 the aim is to determine what the physical emotional and psychological manifestations of the problem used to be and what they are now. For example a person might be obsessed with cleaning but its not because necessarily they want things clean it's because they feel guilty about something and want to wash that guilt away if that makes sense. Or they might get angry all the time but it's not really that they are angry it's because they are in so much pain that lashing out is the only control they think they have.

I hope this makes some kind of sense and is helpful to other people I know its really long but I think it could actually be really illuminating.
