Show your stuff!

morticia monroe

My friends,
I want to tell you that I am enjoying these crystal threads every bit as much as the tarot ones. I just love them, and I am learning SO MUCH from all of you. I wanted to thank you for all the information, guidance and suggestion. You have turned my lifelong "love of pretty rocks" into a real study of Mother Earth's powerful and beautiful crystals. I have so far to go in this, and I learn a little more every day. :)

One of my favorite things here is looking at all of your beautiful stones. They are, to me like children. Every one special, every one beautiful.

So please, show your stuff! I'd LOVE to see your collections, or at least a few of the pieces you are most proud of, and tell how you came to posess them. Internet purchase? Found on the beach? Dug up in the hills? A gift? How? I just LOVE looking at your stones, and sometimes when you post them, it makes me aware of stones I never even knew existed.

If I may, I'll start. This is a piece I found from a dealer in New Zealand. It is garnet and aquamarine on a white matrix. The stone is about 8" long.

My piccies

What can I say most of my crystals have been either bought from little gems rock shop or ordered from their website. A few of them have been gifts from people (or should I say person)

I have over 100 different types of crystal and I love all of them. Here are some piccies of my overall collection (though I do have some in my pocket which aren't in the photos :D) If anyone has any questions I will be more than happy to answer them :)

Oh boy Wumpkie! Those are gorgeous, and I'm so glad I started this thread because I have two stones that YOU have as well, and I don't know WHAT they are! Can you help?

The first is in the first photo. It is the piece at the bottom that runs vertically up to the center of the basket, sort of a rustt melon streaked color.

What is it?

The second is in the next-to-last and last photo, and it is grey and white bands sort of a bullseye pattern.

Can you help me?

I also like that bigger piece that looks rather like lapis in matrix, and I lOVE the malachite!

And that brown and tan zebra striped piece looks almost too perfect to be a stone. Is it? What is it called?

The peachy coloured one is Peach selenite:
Selenite is named for Selene, Greek goddess of the Moon because of its moon-like glow. Exchanged between lovers, it will bring about reconciliation.

Brings mental clarity
Helps one to access angelic guidance
Quickly unblocks stagnant energy
Instills a deep peace

It makes a wonderful protection stone. Place a selenite sphere at the corners of your home to create a peaceful, safe environment that will not be disturbed by outside influences.

Peach Selenite
In addition to the properties of white selenite, peach selenite is a transformation stone. It helps to heal old emotional wounds and transforms this negative energy to healing, forgiveness and accceptance. Use peach selenite to increase self awareness and travel a new path.

The 'bullseye' is just striped agate (botswana) My mum has her eye on this crystal :D

The very last one is 'zebra stone' but not the normal type that you see in books if that's any help? :bugeyed:There is actually very little information anywhere about the stone.

Here is the link to the thread regarding it :)http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=80650&highlight=zebra+stone

Hey thank you so much! Now I know... MY peach selenite is only a small one, but I've always thought it was beautiful.

And that zebra stone is almost so perfect it looks fake. Coolio! ;)

wumpkie

It reminds me of cake, maybe that's the reason I love it so much :D

Shame on me, I forgot to mention how lovely your crystals are. You have such a wonderful collection. *dribble* :D

wow wumpkie your crystals are huge and I might add they are a lovely selection. I have a select few but on looking on the different types of quartz I identified a crystal and it couldn't be at a more perfect time as it resonates with the fae. Andalusite. I dont have any pics sorry.
I have some other ones that have crosses on them underneath is silver and shiny. but they arent tumbled.
I have a select few I am working with. I am carrying the andalusite around.(at least i think its what it is)
