Wooden Pirate Tarot - First Card!

Here it is, for your viewing pleasure, the first card of my husband's Pirate tarot:

The Fool

This sample is, I believe, done in 1/16 inch cherry. He also plans on trying to get them done as a regular deck, which may involve speaking with the people at AEG, who do several CCGs; he's working on licensing their images for deck boxes.

Previously discussed here, but I thought I'd start a new thread now that we actually have a card! Woo!

Fabulous. Did he carve it or is it pyrography? Actually it looks like Lazer?

It's laser engraved, from a vector-type graphics file, scanned in and converted from an ink line drawing.

If he DOES do this as a regular deck, the drawings will be colored for that.

Very nice! I just love the theme he is going with. I like the look of the wood and how detailed the image is.

And thank you for more compliments. I told my husband that no one had said anything bad and he said "they never say anything bad!"
