I also thought it was moonstone, looks very similar.

Thank you Lotus Padma, I'm not sure if it is banded agate either. I went down to the new age shop here in town and tried to find a stone that matched the one I have and they tried to match it up as either citrine quartz or honey jade. So far I think that honey jade is the closet match, but I won't really know for sure until I get back to the town I originally bought the stone from. Ah well I will find out eventually. Thanks for all your help

I'm pretty sure that your pale yellow/cream banded stone is a Calcite or Aragonite (both have the same chemical make up but form differently). I think you're right about the blue stone - pretty sure it's Calcite also.

...also Calcite is quite a soft stone so if it scratches or gets dinged easily then its probably Calcite.
