4 of wands in the conflict position?

It's supposed to be conflict/essence, but I always thought 4 of wands is about union, marriage and happy events.

So ... if you interpret the card personally as being about marriage, and it's about conflict, wouldn't that obviously point to fights within relationships, possibly even escalating to domestic abuse?

Thirteen, I think maybe it's because the female is a very positive, fun and giggly person and she was too playful and the other person is too serious and took it the wrong way?

The fours, to me, are about "square" structures and stability, and the 4 of wands specifically about such lack of movement in the business of Wands, which to me generally focus more on work and duty rather than love or marriages. In the 'conflict' position, it suggests some kind of stuffy establishment or bureaucracy that creates an obstacle.
