Golden Dawn vs. Thelema

Zephyros

Isn't suffering implicit in the fear of death? Suffering may not have been a central tenet of the Osirian cult but emulation of the god's sacrifice was. Osiris was locked in a box, thrown in the ocean, found and then hacked to pieces, his part were then kept in a tree until he was sewn back together missing his penis. That's pretty unpleasant. This kind of pornographic suffering is inherent to the dying god, because only that can engender empathy.
