Got my Sibilla Oracle today!

zhadee

I love Sibillas, I have 3 or 4 of them. They indeed are more or less Playing Cards with Pictures on it, so you just got yourself some deep tool to work with.

Ok, the way I do it - to get a feeling for the cards, I first need to understand their language, so I think of something easy. Could be just anything or anybody: a neighbour, a roommate, a colleage, and so on. Focus and ask the cards to show them this person. Pick one card and try to understand.

You may of course go and learn the meanings from the Playing Cards and apply them mechanically. Might work as well. Either way, start easy with one card.

Wonderful advice, thank you! I will try that route.

I have my new deck of Sibilla cards and I love them already

I was surprised the cards are so small and small cards have small headers. I will definitely be reading them by strong candlelight at least that will add ambiance to the occasion ;)

Going to go and play with them for a few days :joke:

Thank goodness, revival of Sibilla again,
i suggest you to get Everyday Oracle/ Vera Sibilla Italiana LoS ( or La Vera Sibilla Masenghini version if you understand Italian language).

The lwb from LoS has a nice spread called Crescent and also gives you each meaning for each cards, It is my favorite Sibilla of all time!

I prefer Sibilla recently, they seems give straightforward and quick answers and with some gossips too lol

Hi lightpers!
I don't understand Italian, but hopefully I will learn while learning to read with them. I bought the sibilla oracle (http://www.astroamerica.com/tarot/t-sibilla.jpg).

What does lwb mean? And if it is okay with you, can you give me a sample reading so I can see how you read and interpret the cards?

Sorry, to clarify, I wasn't asking you for a reading. :) I meant, can you give me a sample from your past readings or random cards and show us how you interpreted them?

Hello Kurenai,
I see that you are using French Sibilla , i really like that deck but it makes me so hard to understand even though in the end it gives me answer,

I also don't understand a single thing about Italian language but i still use the deck,
the deck i want to show you is like this :

http://www.amazon.com/Every-Day-Oracle-Lo-Scarabeo/dp/0738711810

There is some threads in here that might showing you several informations about the deck:

http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=84659

i means in the deck there is an Little White Book (lwb) that might explain each cards meanings but i am not sure if it suits your Sibilla deck because it has several different cards from Everyday oracle, i though have found a site that has meanings for Sibilla Indovina deck :

https://goldenmousedeer.wordpress.com/2011/07/25/sibilla-oracle-card-meanings/

For spread there is a Crescent spread that i found in Everyday Oracle's lwb but by the time i post this, i am still at my office lol, so i can't show it to you.

I am no expert at reading Sibillas either, but the same with reading tarot, i never use positions in spread, i just read it from left to right or whichever direction that i want to read from. Trust yourself with the Sibilla is the most important thing to do i guess XD

Glad that you like Sibilla , my friends :D

Ah, yes... The Italian Sibilla! There are so many versions out there that it makes my head spin! I am experimenting with the deck I have now, but the Italian Sibilla is on my next list of things to buy!
