How to find event using natal chart

I was reading where one can find out their planets positions, example a death in the family, using their natal chart information.

I have looked through my Wow program and don't see where to change a date, so does anyone know how this is done? I would like to make a chart to look over on certain dates.

Events

The events themselves aren't in the natal chart. There are methods of looking at the natal chart through time, and those are the ways to time events. The most common techniques that modern astrologers use are transits, progressions and solar returns. There are additional methods from the classical period.
