The great cycle of the God’s journey makes for a really great new beginning spread. But it could be used at any time when a change is felt to be happening, and the first card could be taken as that which represents the feeling at the time.

1: The Sun – What is being born. There is something arising that needs to be nurtured. It has a light and a dark side that must be recognised and treated with equal respect.
2: The Emperor – What is strong. This is at its azimuth and you must take advantage of it while it lasts, and make provision for what will come when it begins its descent from your sphere of influence.
3: The Hanged Man – What is out of your control. This must be let go of; hanging onto it will only cause grief.
4: The Devil – What to revel in. This is your dark self and feeds the dark side of that which is being born. Do not fear it; respect it and find its place in your life.
