Interesting. I never thought of this. I like it.

It's kind of my "NewAge-y" spin on the old idea that the "cross" section (the first six cards) is about the situation itself, and the "staff" section (the last four cards) is about the querent's status in relation to the matter. I don't include the outcome card as "querent" because I think its "situational," a reflection of the long-term results presaged by the "near future" card, with which I read it in combination. Because of this, I was never happy with the "above" card as "conscious mind" and the "below" card as "subconscious mind" because it messes up the "timeline" progression, and I think those concepts belong in the "staff" anyway.
