1969 sounds good to me as I am happy they are at least that old. My deck appears to be a lighter shade of blue that I like, but maybe it is just a printing error.

I have a green boxed Grimaud from the 60's, Coredil is the best person to date it more specifically for you.
Does it have US Games or B P Grimaud written in the borders? And the colours help to date it too but that would need comparisons with other versions. The colour of the accompanying book gives a clue too.
The Grimaud is my favourite Marseilles deck, good find Freddie.
