it's from the Bible, the Song of Solomon (or "Song of Songs", Shir ha-Shirim), chapter 2 verse 16, and also appears in chapter 6, verse 3.

"Dodi li ve-ani lo" (My beloved is mine and I am his)
"Ani le-dodi ve-dodi li" (I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine)

It's a short verse, so it's often inscribed on rings - and maybe as a tattoo as well :)

You can see it in Hebrew here -

Here is an excellent resource for translating any Bible verse into Hebrew:

דודי לי ואני לו הרעה בשושנים
[/size]

That's a cool resource kilts_knave, thanks!

Note that only the first four words are usually inscribed.

The second (more commonly used?) expression is from 6:12

(my text keeps coming up reversed; how did you get it to read right to left?)

Use WORD PAD and paste there first, then copy & paste from WORD Pad into the white dialog box & see what happens :)
