Dark Goddess trimmed and edged :)

Just finished trimming and edging my Dark Goddess Deck...

It is SO much easier to shuffle now...

Looks so pretty with the inka gold by viva decor Haematite beeswax metallic edging...

Tools of the trade (everything bought at Joann's Fabric with 50% off coupons :)

  • sandpaper (to roughen and smooth the edges of the cards) so that the inka gold beeswax paint sticks better
  • a clean hand towel to buff the polish of the metallic edging
  • plastic palette
  • one tough fabric dye brush for applying the inka gold metallic edging
  • inka gold by viva decor in Haematite beeswax metallic paint (love this stuff!)
  • fiskars corner rounder, size small
  • Fiskars 12 Inch Portable Rotary Paper Trimmer (probably need to get a new blade soon, as this is the second deck I have trimmed with it...)

Looks great, TinySpark! :) I've been curious to see the Hematite inka gold metallic color on a deck, and that looks truly amazing, especially with the Dark Goddess cards.

DruidCraft with Copper edging :)

Just trimmed and edged my Druid Craft with inka gold metallic beeswax paint putty...

used a mix of copper, yellow gold, haematite, & brown gold.

looks much more like a burnt copper penny then the shiny pictures...

probably will polish and do another layer so the finish is just a tad darker...

see pics :)

My first edging project: my Harry Potter Tarot 😊

I edged it with sumi-e ink and a flat brush because I had a lot on hand in my art studio, I didn't want to buy a new marker just for this and anyway, my migraines wouldn't have been able to handle the fumes from 78 cards-worth of a permanent marker! :p

Oh and I was taking a pic of the sumi-e ink I used when Monkey decided she *had* to have it mid-pic :D

Nice job DeeEll, works perfectly with that deck. And cats, well, I don't have any more but did for many years, so cute!

Oh my gosh, I wish I'd seen this before I did the edges of my Raven's Prophecy deck in black. The orange looks so wonderful. Matches the slightly mischievous feel of the deck, I think.

I'm pretty sure you can do metallic (what she used) over black but not the other way around.

Oh, and Aloha from Kauai and welcome to AT! 😊
