Use of the Joker Card

Question for you playing card cartomancers: Do you include Joker cards in your readings and if so, how do you interpret the card? I ask because I have not seen much mention of Jokers in any playing card divination info -- but I'm very new and have read only a little so far.

I read for myself and usually leave 1 joker in the deck. When it comes up, I tend to ask myself if I'm taking the issue or myself too seriously. Or if there's any way I can think outside the box to help lighten things up. But that's not based on anything other than the way the Joker strikes me. (If I were to read with Bicycle's Arcane deck or another with an eerie or dark Joker, the meaning would probably shift around to more of an unpleasant surprise.)
