A haunted doll that deals your tarot cards for you?

Yelell

That's right! No more fussing with shuffling and dealing your own cards. This doll is not only skilled at manipulating tarot cards, but she also assists in pendulum sessions. She heals people (if you ask nicely,) and she's obviously haunted by a 200 year old spirit -- you can tell by the blue light shining over her head! All this for the bargain price of $39 plus $11 shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Haunted-Dol...arot-Spells-/151821862684?hash=item235949c71c

I never get over these Ebay haunted tarot cards and doll listings. Good grief, what is the matter with people?

This is just simply priceless! First I've ever heard of anything like it! I would say that there's no chance a mechanical doll could shuffle the cards in a way that would be nearly as good for the as client as when they shuffle the cards themselves...but it's a haunted doll, with the spirit of a witch, so it MUST be accurate! ;-)

Heh, reminds me of a time when a pagan friend of mine was gifted with a furby its previous owner had taught to call the quarters. What would be funnier, still, to me is if the furby actually wound up summoning something!

Zephyros

For a scam, at least it's not expensive. I wonder why it's so cheap, if there's anything wrong with it. Does the old woman have any bad habits that would lower the price, like does she riffle shuffle? I wouldn't want her "manipulating" my cards if that's what she did. It's so hard to get really good dolls haunted by 1800s old women these days, all you can get is cheap Chinese knock-offs haunted by cranky tech support guys.

All I can say is that if anyone were to buy this to help with their Tarot readings, I very much hope that their levels of "self awareness" would improve as quickly as possible. Like, awareness of reality.

First time I see a supposedly haunted doll with specialised divination skills but apparently there are people out there who collect "haunted" dolls on purpose. There's this site http://www.hdparanormal.com/dolls.html that puts them up for adoption. The testimonials are so unreal I have a hard time believing a single one of them.

RIGHT! I'm getting another parrot. And teaching it to call the quarters! My old one only said "bugger off!" to people who were silly enough to say "hello cocky" to it.

ALL the porcelain dolls look haunted to me. This one probably smokes or something, that's why it's so cheap :p

Le Fanu

It's cheap because it's one of those nasty reproduction dolls that are mass-produced as "collectibles" for gullible people. If it were genuinely antique (nowhere does it says it is; the spirit is 200 years old) then the seller could charge a higher price.

It is photographed in spooky blue half-light to hide the cheapness.

I love antique porcelain dolls (proper spooky dolls circa 1900) and have a few in various states of decay - some with eyes, some without - but I wouldn't go near these repros.

What on earth is calling the quarters? Never even heard of this expression. Quartered bodies?

Nearly fell off my chair laughing LOL

'Details about Haunted Doll Cheyenne, Spirit of a Witch, Very Powerful, Healing, Tarot, Spells.' LOL

I have never heard of anything so ridiculous

If my great-grandmother inhabited one of my old dolls I would have paid a fortune (if I had a fortune) just to get rid of it

I know some people are gullible but this is something I have never come across, never even imagined

Calling the quarters is something to do with witchcraft - north south east west - though as a hedge-witch I am not really up on coven work or their forms of spell casting - I do call upon the 4 elements ;)

As a rabid riffle shuffler, I find your statement deeply insulting, and, in the spirit of the politically correct world, demand you immediately apologize and cease and desist in your insensitivities!!!

Back to the doll, what does it mean to "manipulate" tarot cards? I am confused and intrigued :)
I do see how it can raise your self awareness, though. After purchasing said doll, I can hear it now..."Boy, mom and dad were right, I am an idiot..."
