Clow Cards: The Float

cardlady22

This can show that things may feel a little heavy going for now. The phrase lighten up might be something you are hearing or saying to yourself, which is easier said than done. Is there any respite you can take where you can lighten the load emotionally or mentally, even if it is just for a while? Is there something you should be saying no to? Are you taking too much on because of your easy-going nature?

*reversed*
You may not really have the true grasp of what is going on around you. Things are not as you see them, but, is that because you haven't taken the time to really focus on something? It can show you are not being attentive enough- and you may find you are just floating around aimlessly. Not a bad thing if you have no issues, but can mean things just don't get done or acknowledged.

The Float (Five of Clubs [Wands])

Upright: Competition, possibility of a lawsuit or quarrel, obstacles, courage. An advantageous marriage/relationship. If you make a steady effort, you will be freed from all pressures. When you don't make a steady effort, it is a sign of pending troubles. Be careful to pay attention to personal relationships, including romantic ones.

Reversed: Harmony, new opportunities, generosity

Meanings inspired from the anime

The Float is a mischievous card who likes to make things and people float for fun, but it's not evil or aggressive. It could represent a light-hearted person who doesn't worry about anything, or a very lunatic person who always has her 'head in the clouds'.

Floating away can prove dangerous if you end up too high in the atmosphere as air gets thinner and falling would be fatal. This could refer to the fact that getting too much disconnected from reality (keeping your head in the clouds) might not be a good idea.

On the other hand, being able to float can be useful when used in a controlled manner. In this case it could advise you to let go / stop keeping your feet on the ground for a bit and it could lead you to your goal faster.

In the anime, Sakura transformed this card when she fell into some bottomless hole of darkness so that she could stop falling and go back up. It could symbolize how there is always a way out of darkness / negativity / problems. This card can point to what could help you or by itself, it could remind you that you should take things in a lighter way.

The Float is under the Windy, the Moon and is related to Eastern magic.
