Adding to the Celtic Cross?

I know not everyone is a fan of the CC, but I am. I often add three advice cards to the bottom of the spread. Anyone else customize their CC in anyway? Sometimes I like putting three cards to a position

sometimes I do exactly as you do- but it usually depends on the final card, if it doesn't make sense at all or if it is a court card. I used to add an additional card on top of the cover - as a message from the higher self...but I don't anymore.

The "coaching" book i received came with of course, with the CC as one of the first spreads to learn how to use. I've seen a few where there are naturally 11 cards.

I stick to ten; however, the sample shows four cards being laid out, aside from the spread.
They don't continue the spread, but provide more information of what the spread as already reveilled to you.

If I am not mistaken, it is past, present and future energies...
