Who is Strength?

Richard

......Perhaps the broken pillars in various Fortitude/Strength cards actually pictures the destruction of Atlantis.....
Samson broke or displaced two pillars of the Temple of Dagon. He died in the resulting collapse.

Unfortunately the 'movie' is inconclusive and just seems a collation of various sources and uses standard references, which, in our culture misses the whole point of the inner spiritual reality of the myth. Wiki isnt going to lead to understanding the myth or the card.

Hercules actually fights and kills his totem ... he doesnt cross the mountain he smashes through it ... and so on.

The is the path of the denying ego and and relates more to a rampant Mars. It is not the strength of a woman holding a lions mouth open ...

Hercules path is one of failure during the initiation process , one only has to see how the story ends for him. He isnt admitted to the mysteries ( they did form an 'outer court' or lesser mysteries specifically for him ... and his ilk ).

Yes, he did make it to 'heaven' ( as a constellation) and there he is up there .... still battling away and fighting the cosmos :rolleyes:

Perhaps if someone ever invents two sided tarot cards *, he could be on the reverse side of Strength.

* patent pending :)

Do you have a tracing over star asterisms that shows the destruction of Atlantis ?

The destruction of Atlantis ?

Do you have a tracing over star asterisms that shows the destruction of Atlantis ?

Would you settle for the Tower card, which appears to show a scene of epic destruction?

Hercules (from the Strength card) is pictured upside down above Ophiuchus and next to Corona Borealis. The tower is identified as Babel and other mythic towers, so why not connect the constellation Hercules and the Tower card with the destruction of Atlantis? Great idea. The Tower card of the Tarot pictures the constellations Hercules, Serpens, Ophiuchus, Corona Borealis, Bootes, Libra, Scorpio, and Lyra.

Do you have a star map showing the constellation of the White Unicorn ?

Monoceros, the Unicorn.
Its name means “the unicorn” in Latin, and the constellation represents the mythical single-horned, horse-like creature.

"Monoceros constellation was introduced by the Dutch astronomer and cartographer Petrus Plancius from the observations of Dutch navigators in the 17th century."
