Fortune Teller Experience

Grizabella

I understand where SunChariot and Alta are coming from, but some topics came up where I didn't even ask the questions. The psychic just randomly told me information without my consent. I told her I only wanted to hear things that aren't so bad for me to know.

This makes me curious. This is such an interesting thread! I have a question and it doesn't matter who answers it or how many answer it.

I'm just wondering how a reader would judge what would be bad for/their sitter to know. I ask just in case anyone who sits for me tells me not to tell them anything that would be bad for them. I guess probably anything about violence or death for themselves or others they know?

As a sitter, I would want to have a reading done as a counseling session.
How can I better myself and work on my obstacles or weaknesses. I know some tarot readers have a background in counseling.

Really cool past life to have. I went to the Reading Exchange forum, apologies I forget the name of the person who was doing the readings on AT, and they were doing a Past Life reading and I was told I was a male tax collector who wasn't very liked by the community because I would collect their money and splurge on my wife. Sounds like a very sad life I had. It was a fun reading, but if your daughter has the ability to heal someone it's truly a gift.

Yes, I've also had a few past life readings done, and they are fun. :) I have seen some past lives of myself. Some in meditation on my own and some with the help of a shaman leading me back in time. An incredible experience. One life, I was a healer--and walking through the woods, collecting things for medicines, (or so it seemed to me and came to me this way), and it was as I said, a very incredible experience.

I love how your mom nicknamed your dad the "tattle tale spirit" they sound like they were a cute couple.
*shrugs* yeah, well, they had her moments. Mom actually is a very witty person.

Sooo spirits are perverts!! Don't you have a heart attack. Some stranger coming into a very vulnerable and personal time. I would yell at them. It sounds like this is normal to you. Do they talk to you in the shower and keep you company. Maybe they can help reach that hard spot to clean. That would be cool to have Elvis in the shower with you. I never knew spirits like the sound of running water.

 I've gotten use to it, tbh, I guess. And, no, I don't really want to say spirits are perverts, because for the most part, they don't even seem to notice I'm standing there in the nude. (doesn't say very much for me, does it?) and they are generally fully dressed! I've had as many as 2 or 3 come into the tub with me. There was only one spirit that I can recall that made me feel creepy. I knew him in life--someone I came across in a job I had. Many years later---after he died, my husband and I ended up renting the house he lived in and he haunted it. He and his mother both haunted it. She was great--he was a bit creepy imho. He would ALWAYS come into the bathroom when I was taking a shower.

His mom, was much nicer and always in the kitchen or upstairs "cleaning". Mostly cooking though and always making brownies. Oh the house would smell heavenly! :)

Thank you!!! I always have him in my thoughts and I keep rewinding the film of memories I have of him in my head. I keep telling him in my mind that I love him.
:) Perfect!

How Ironic!!!! I think with signs I tend to be oblivion to them. I will try, thank you for your advice.
You're welcome, of course. Now, understand, he may come through immediately--or it may take some time. Spirits don't keep time like we do!

I also wanted to ask you that I had these strange experience before.
First time, I saw a black mist in my backyard and I thought it was a cluster of flies together, but it disappeared after 2 seconds.

Well, some people will say a black mist is not a good spirit, BUT! I do NOT agree! I have seen black or *dirty* like mists myself. One black shadow that we, (my mom, myself and a fwe other family members) saw turned out to be a very nice young man that we knew well and whom died unexpectedly. He was a dear friend of my nephews, and at the time we saw him in moms home, (he had been there so many times in life), my nephew was in the hospital in critical condition. We thought it was this man, but not sure, but when my nephew recovered, he told us that this very friend came to him and told him he was going to be okay. We knew for sure then it was indeed him! and yes, he was a black shadow. We use to see him quite awhile after that too, always as a shadow.

Another time I also saw a mist hanging in the air in my bedroom, all dirty like, save I could make out a pair of glasses. I tried to communicate w/it, to no avail, so I ignored it and went to sleep. The next day my sister and I were talking and she told me her friend, (one of her best friends from HS) had passed the day before or the evening I saw her. I also knew this girl/woman growing up. So, please don't think that black or brown shadows/mists are bad.

Second, this happened recently, someone jumped on my bed and sat on my legs in the middle of the night. I thought it was my mom or brother playing a prank on me while I was sleeping. When I opened my eyes, still half asleep, it looked like an old photograph of an adult jumping on my bed like a kid.
very cool! I've had my childhood dog come and jump into the bed with me before. :)

This happened to me twice before when I slept over my boyfriends house. I woke up and I saw an old photograph of a woman giving me high five, so I high fived her back and went back to sleep lol I did it to shoo her away.
 I wonder who she is?! Do you know? Did you recognize her at all? I wish we knew why she was high fiving you too! Perhaps because she thought you had a great bf? :D

Don't you just love these experiences? I sure do! But, I will be honest, I've had some spirits that also frightened me a few times too and some that wouldn't leave me alone also. But, as soon as I call on Arch. Michael and my guides for help--they go away.

And, Yes, Griz is right, this is a great thread!

This is always a tough thing. Because I feel that we need to tell all we get to our sitter. Of course, if it is bad news, we need to try to deliver the news in the kindest way possible, obviously.

I remember one psychic medium who was also an empath, my mom and I went to when I was about 16yoa. Moms friend "Mary" also went with us, but wasn't having a reading. Anyway, I allowed my mom to go first, and then a few minutes later, my mother yelled--sort of a scream, I guess and opened hte door and came running out telling Mary, "SHE FAINTED! SHE FAINTED!"

Mary and my mother were able to get her to come to and we helped the woman and we stayed there till she was okay. (we were in her home). needless to say, I didn't get a reading, but while she was reading for my mom she told her that she saw 2 of her husband--though she knows mom was only married once. "yes, he's an identical twin" mom replied.

Then, with that, the psychic suddenly grabbed her head, screamed - yelling, "OMG! THE PAIN! THE PAIN! HE's GOING TO DIE!" and this is when she fainted and fell out of her chair onto the floor.

My mother was frantic, thinking my dad was going to die. Naturally when the psychic came to, she couldn't really say anything else, she was too weak from the pain and from falling. So, we helped her to her bed and then left and went home.

not long after that, my dad came home very ill from work. The first time he EVER took a sick day in over 10 yrs working there. Anyway, he kept telling mom that his head hurt and he crawled up the stairs to go to bed with a migraine headache.

Not long afterwards, we got a phone call that his brother was near death in the Trauma Center and not expected to live. Someone he worked with tried to kill him, and dropped something very heavy on top of him, crushing his skull. However, my uncle did live for many more years after that--surprising EVERYONE.

So, sorry for the length of this, but it just goes to show that while she saw and was so sure he would die--(the specialists and all his drs thought so too!), NO ONE knows for sure who is going to die. You just NEVER know for sure.

Do you think she should've told us about what she felt and saw? *shrugs*

Don't go to curb/window psychics...they are always negative and telling you horrible stuff that really isn't true usually and only done to draw you back to get more money from you (stir your emotions)

My advice is go to a spiritual shop that sells stuff...spiritual books, stones, incense, etc. They usually have trusted psychics that aren't con.

You can also go on etsy or go to a psychic that is recommended to you.

Just like any profession you have good people and bad people.

I only went to ones that were through word of mouth. I wouldn't go to those curb/window psychics because they look creepy. Where I live every psychic's home I passed by. I feel all of their homes look alike.

LOl She kinda of looked my cousin. I think I was dreaming, but I'm not sure what was going on with me.
Haha I do have a great bf!

Have you made contact with angels as well? I'm sure you did.

When my family moved from North America from Europe. The night before my mom found out her dad passed away. She felt a cold hand on her thigh and it startled her, but it was a pleasant feeling. The next day she found out her dad died back home in Europe. She always said it was a way of him saying "goodbye." My parents always had weird experiences happening to them. Before a passing of their family members they both couldn't sleep for couple of weeks. Something was keeping them at night. After their loved ones passed they were able to sleep.

Also, my aunt had a near death experience while she was in labour. It was a hard labour for her and I don't know the exact details of how she came to see a "white light." She said it was so peaceful, full of love, and eager to go into this light. She described it as going into outer space, but what prevented her from going into the light was her then 5 year old son. She was felt she couldn't leave him behind.

My recently departed cat hung around...with my encouragement. He would jump on the bed, and not only would I notice but our living cat and my husband could tell. He could be heard periodically mewing--he had a distinct voice--and, considering neither me or my husband are awfully sensitive, he had no problems making himself known to us. About a month later he had to go away, though...apparently it's frowned upon to encourage the recently departed to hang out. I feel like I should have guessed that but it didn't occur to me. I don't perceive spirits as well as others who walk a similar path.

When that cat was alive he would sense spirits sometimes and never liked any of them. I find it amusing that our other cat notices and then ignores them easily, haha.

yes, I have. :) Also very cool experience.

That is special--for your mom. Its hard to put words in here to express what this must have meant to her. I've often have had the same sort of thing.

When my father passed away, I was out of state (in the U.S.) and my maternal gm, whom I was very close to, came to me. Now, we knew daddy was dying, and in fact, I was planning to head down again to him later this day--but at about 2am in the morning, on Oct. 02, my maternal gm, whom I was very close to, came to me in spirit. However, she was only appearing to me from the waist up. She was dressed in dark colors--and a big black hat, (she always wore a hat and was always dressed up!), and she shook my shoulders and called to me to wake up. Then, when I did, she told me, "you'll soon hear the phone ring with some news." and she left by walking through the wall and disappeared.

I layed back down in bed, waiting for the phone to ring and about 20 min later or so, it did, with my niece telling the news that my dad had passed. I told her, "yes, I know. Nanny R. came and told me at 2, (I don't recall the exact time--but my niece was shocked!) and I've been waiting for your call. She told me the call would soon come in".

Then, later when we had finally arrived there, my hubby & I were staying in a hotel and my father came to me--calling my name and asked me if he had died, (he died in his sleep), as he wasn't sure if he was just sleeping or dead. I spoke w/him, explaining he was now dead and he asked me, "what do I do now? is this all it is?" and I could see my grandmother standing there with 3 other family members to show him the way, but I also told him to call his dad, as he was very close to his father. He did and then he walked away, down a tunnel which to me looked more like a street but no buildings, to all of them. It will forever be in my memory. So peaceful.

Also, my aunt had a near death experience while she was in labour. It was a hard labour for her and I don't know the exact details of how she came to see a "white light." oh wow! this one really gives me goosebumps!

Yes, even our animals will stay. When my mothers dog passed away, she came to me at my new home--though this dog had never been to our new home before! Anyway, I remember, I was standing inside our pantry--its a big walk-in pantry, and I could hear the 'tic tic tic' of her nails hitting our floor. I looked out of the pantry and my husband was also there and he says, "Its ****"! And, the dog came running to me, and stood on her hind legs, pawing at me, and wagging her tail--she was so happy! I know she came to let me know that she was okay and she wanted me to tell my mom. I think my mom was so filled w/grief she couldn't connect with her poochie. I was surprised in a way that she came to me, because quite honestly, I didn't care much for that dog-she was a real pain in the rear end. Anyway, it was special that she came to me. :)

Animals are much more sensitive then we are--or perhaps its just that they don't really care about seeing spirits & haven't quite learned that its "not acceptable" as we humans feel about it. I also hear my childhood dog barking at times. He has been to every house I live in--but sometimes I didn't even know it! I found out through psychics. Also my aunts dog comes to me often and my dear, sweet granddog, Cash. :D HE was a real gentleman dog! :) He also comes sometimes with my childhood dog and also my dad.

the funniest pet to ever come through to me, (but I didn't see him--he came through a psychic reading done for me by "my" psychic that I go to, was our daughters guinea pig! :D This psychic had never seen a guinea pig and thought it was a rabbit w/o any ears, at first. then she said "very tiny ears, as now I see them!" We did have a pet rabbit for awhile too--but her description was off and I kept saying, "no, I don't know that rabbit"! Then, she said one thing that we always said to our guinea pig, "He's telling me to say that he has BIG feet!" which he did, of course, and we'd always remark at how BIG his feet were! She said his feet were pink, (they were) and he sometimes looked like he had red lipstick on his pink lips, (he did, when we'd feed him strawberries, which he loved). Then, it all clicked together and yes, our guinea pig came through to say hello. :D

Talk to your deceased loved ones, human and animal and yes, they will come to you and sometimes even hang around. Its as nice to have our animal loved ones with us as it is our human loved ones. :)

This is an interesting question!

Given that the future IS changeable, IF something violent were coming in someone's future it would be bad NOT to know it.

Because knowing it means they could change things so that they could avoid it. Then it would not HAVE TO happen for them. But if it were coming and they did not know. And then did NOT take the steps to avoid it, THEN it would necessarily come. If we don't know something is coming, we can't take the steps to avoid it.

Let's say the cards told us the person we are about to start dating seriously is going to be violent with us. We could then leave them and not have to go through that. If we did not know this we would not leave, then it would just play out.

That means that being told something like that would be good for the querent and not being told would be bad for them.

In the end, maybe it comes more down to HOW the story is told. You have to leave the person feeling empowered and with a sense of hope. If you tell the person this ("bad") thing is coming and you leave them scared, that is bad, to me.

But if you tell them that the future is changeable and this ("bad") thing is coming right now, but luckily here is what you can do to avoid it and create a better outcome instead..That is more positive, if you know what I mean. I think how negative something feels is HOW the story is told.
