Death as holistic treatment

DDwarks

Ive asked my cards what holistic treatment would benefit my daughter and got the Death card as an answer ....
I've no idea what it means in this context!
Death to me is about transformation or complete change but as a treatment Im struggling to see what it could be refering to.
Sweat lodges and the likes would have been Judgement to me. As in re-birth.
As anyone come accross the death card refering to anything related to holistic treatments before?
I wasnt sure where to post this so if its the wrong forum I aplogise:)

I don't know if this will make any sense to you, but with my googlefu...

There is a holistic therapist in Ireland (no I don't mean go there !) and all the feedback she gets is about how her treatments (which include traditional Chinese medicine, elements of cranio-sacral therapy, kinesiology, lymphatic drainage and massage to realign the body) have TRANSFORMED her patients' lives.

Could the message here be simply to find a holistic therapist whose techniques work for your daughter. As in - find a good one who specialises in her kind of issues and s/he will do the transforming. I realise that may be far easier said than done, but I was taken by surprise by the language in the feedback on this woman. She wouldn't be appropriate for your daughter anyway as her speciality is pain relief, but the idea of holistic medicine as transformation made so much sense all of a sudden.

I do know that some supplements are dangerous; do bear that in mind. There are - as you know - some excellent websites...

It's difficult to say here.
Temperance would look like a holistic treatment, but Death doesn't look like so holistic.
Nevertheless Death can talk about transformation, but I feel this card not soft but hard, that worry me a bit here.
Would a hollistic treatment be really appropriated?

Or if the treatment comes from a notorious person with a great reputation, a kind of specialist.

I don't know but I see this as none, perhaps something more invasive would be suitable but I may be way off here.

Death as a holistic treatment, yes very hard to say. Death is letting go, accepting impermanence. Perhaps holistic treatment is not the answer. I am. A firm believer in trying a holistic solutions so my suggested meaning of this card is not a comfortable one, as the death card is not comfortable to face. Looking into other alternative treatment, holistic approach may be a dead end. (This is what I see in this card not my personal preference) Best to you and your daughter.

That's a very good point.

My take is similar... Death means that change is needed, to me. So the change may well be that it's not holistic treatment that's needed, and that you need to shift /change and consider something else. Maybe traditional medicine?
Good luck.

The term "holistic" means "the whole person". It isn't naturopathic as some people think. I had a doctor I loved who practiced that way. He was an M.D. but treated the whole person and used alternative therapies before automatically hitting the big drugs. Those were his last resort. The woman in with him at his clinic was a naturopath who used herbal remedies and such. I never saw her myself.

If you mean more like a naturopathic practitioner then the Death card might be saying "don't go there" because her issues are more in need of traditional medicine at this point.

You can ask around and maybe find a doctor who treats the whole person and is willing to also employ alternative medical solutions first before doing bigger drugs.

Death sounds like finding a good fundamentalist who will run through the entire list of possible issues and determine any toxins or behaviors that may be contributing to symptoms. So things that involve a process of elimination or even just an elimination diet comes to mind.

Another possibility. My mother-in-law sees a specialist (functional endocrinologist) who works with the the gut and issues like gluten intolerance, leaky gut, etc. They do allergy-type testing that checks to see what foods that may be problematic for the patient, so the patient and doctor work together through an elimination diet to find the cause of symptoms.

Edit: I believe it's called LEAP test/LEAP diet

Maybe Death means that it will become more then a passing treatment. That what she'll start will turn permanent. A life style. That may be the change that will come.
