I think he seems rather resolved, in the sense of that his is stance on the issue, and he is sticking to it.

His eyes and the set of his mouth and chin suggest calmness, observation, determination, patience. There is no anger, no irrationality, nothing dogmatic about him. He looks like someone who has seen "everything" several times before. I think he would be very objective and fair in his decisions and his advice.
I agree, I definitely see that!
It definitely is an autumn card, so with the leaves falling, then it might indicate the falling away of things that are no long of use, no longer serves its purpose. It's about pruning and weeding, it can also be the time when you plant seeds, and what not, which will sit there dormant, until spring comes along. Sort of like planting a seed, but waiting for it to show signs of growth, to bear its fruit, in a manner of speaking.
He has been injured, indicating that he has been fighting, but nevertheless he is not budging. It also seems like his jugular has been cut, or nicked, and that is a major blood vessel that comes from the heart, if that was cut, that would mean a lot of blood loss. There is something else in association with the jugular, but I can't think of it. The armour on the shoulders seem to act more of adding to the weight, like he has got the weight of the world on his shoulders. The way the hands are also in armour, would essentially mean that the hands are still able to be used, but it would restrict the feeling in the hands. Hands are what you use to touch things, so by having the armour on the hands, means that you don't get so personal, and whatever you touch, whether that is another person, it would feel cold.
