how to interpret the court cards

nuttyprofessor

I like to keep things simple, and just give a keyword to the different ranks:

kings : dominant, independent
queens: receptive, dependent
knights: assertive, bold
pages: youthful, fresh

wands: passionate
cups: emotional
swords: intellectual
coins: practical

Maybe you have some recommendations.

On basis of the previous post I have refined the attributions. I was so motivated that I couldn't catch sleep. I hope it was not in vain. Please tell what you find about it.

A reversed card refers to a too much, or too little.

I love it

KISS (Keep is Simple Stupid)

The gypsies who used these cards, often could not read, so did not read enormous books full of promos explanations. They relied more on their intuition and sadly, with all the numerous enormous books now available many of us are relying more and more on the written word than our intuition

A gypsy would have had a basic knowledge such as your layout above, and with that she would be able to pick up any deck of cards and let the pictures speak to her

i don't mind you are laughing at me, because first of all I operate here under a cover name, and secondly I am 54 and male, so for sure I will be equanimous.

I think it is no bad idea to relate ages to the courts, but don't make it a hard and fast rule, because you may neglect that younger people may act out older traits, and older people may act out younger traits. Secondly, you might neglect that the courts can be related to the circumstance around the question. For example, most people will display a different character at the working place, or you will behave differently to one person and the other.

I did not think your name was nuttyprofessor ;) my name really is Anthea, and actually I was trying to be helpful by showing the way that the old Gypsies viewed the court cards. It was certainly never my intention to upset you please can we be FRIENDS
