World clarified by Seven of Swords as feelings?

winter garden

How would you see the World clarified by Seven of Swords as feelings? On it's own the World could mean feelings of completion (of a cycle), but the Seven of Swords confused me a touch. For me it is about often about denying personal truths, and also dishonesty/cheating etc. As a clarifier for the World, would this be more about the lone wolf aspects of the card? So for feelings, the World is suggesting that this person is in their own world, and don't have any feelings for me? Or that they are over it and running away/moving on now?

I agree with no feelings. The world is the end, there's nothing after that and the seven of swords is you refusing to accept that it's over and he's moved on and you're only deceiving yourself thinking otherwise.

World can have lots of meanings depending how the status of your connection with this person is in the present time-together or not.
World can signify that this person is dedicating their time exclusively to you,in this case they feel u mean the world to them. They are submitting and accepting that u are one and only. This is valid even if two people are separated. Maybe he's not over yet and u are still the only woman he thinks about.
But world could literally mean also that he is out in the world in search for new perspectivevs/partners,he is wordly involved, getting out socialising or meeting new people. This is a card not necesarily about feelings but rather about actions, its about travelling most of the time-the person in cause is not sitting in one place or chit chatting on dating websites.

7 of swords is very much about avoiding their feelings and yes u are right about the lone wolf aspect-they avoid commitment, avoid getting in love(out of protection for themselves). Diplomacy is one of the best atributes of this card. Sounds ironic but the 7 of swords fellow is very good at finding always a solution for every situation/problem.
Lets take it literally, swords are thoughts not feelings. Whatever this person feels inside he will avoid saying it loud and he would do anything to avoid a conflict/confrontation or give any explanation. He is a master of sneakiness.. Whatever u hear from his/her mouth should be taken with a pinch of salt and precaution cause everything you say can or might end up being used against you.

The World for me is an interesting card actually. There are many cards in the tarot deck that mean an end, plenty that spell out an end on unfavourable terms. So I wouldn't immediately jump to a negative interpretation of this card. The key for this card is the idea of things coming full circle. It's a completion but one that normally wraps things up in a satisfying rather than terrible way. The seven of swords is strangely enough another ending card but this time it means quitting a situation that just does not benefit them in any way. The thief there is giving up the fight in order to reserve resources and fight another day. So there's a sense of futility here about being able to get anything more from the situation.

Now I wouldn't necessarily say this is the death knell because well the seven of swords isn't a card of absolute finality, but it is about giving up the struggle and given the world card, I'd say it was a struggle that had been going on for quite some time.

Thank you all for your responses - I actually think any one of them could apply to my situation, and right now my intuition seems too off to be able to focus on which resonates the most. Change is certainly in the air at the moment is all that I am able to declare with any level of certainty.

Thanks Marsy, I can certainly see how this could apply to my specific situation as I was asking about the feelings of someone I no longer have in my life.

Thanks Puffette, this person was never someone I was in a relationship with and I don't think I ever meant that much to them, so unfortunately your interpretation of the world didn't fit my specific situation. I do really like the idea of the seven of swords being ralted to diplomacy, however. At the time of my reading we had contact from a distance for the first time in a year, so this person could certainly have been trying to be diplomatic about the two of us both being in the same space. There was definitely some avoidance involved on both our parts, so this fits well.

This is a very interesting interpretation of the cards, Abysnthe. I say that because I saw this person (from a distance) for the first time in a year, and neither one of us made any kind of attempt to go out of our way to speak to one another. I emailed her about a week later and she actually responded, and indicated that she had expected to run into me at some point but failed to mention that she actually did see me. I certainly saw her multiple times, and I would think she likely saw me as well. There is a distinct possibility that she felt the situation was futile given that she no doubt expected me to try and make contact with her in person, and I didn't. Thank you :)
